Job descriptionConducting routine maintenance and repair work on quarry machinery, including crushers, mobile earthmoving equipment, and vehicles. Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritise and schedule repairs and maintenance. Assist and maintain accurate records for maintenance activities and equipment status. Assist to upskill the maintenance staff to improve reliability and eliminate reoccurring issues on site. Steel fabrication and welding of new and replacement parts. Gas cutting, gas welding, arc welding and mig welding. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Trade qualified fitter (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent) Experience working on repairing mobile and fixed plants, including crushing & screening equipment. Prior experience in planning and carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance. Previous experience in fabrication and welding. Be able to troubleshoot and perform breakdown repairs. Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to hazard identification.

About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated, and qualified Maintenance Fitter to join the team at our Sandy Point Quarry.
The Maintenance Fitter must have a strong commitment to safety, with a ‘hands on’ approach to assist the team to achieve high levels of safety, preventative maintenance, and production efficiency.
