Provide accounting and financial support to the Financial Manager located in Western Sydney NSW.

Your new role Summary

As the latest addition to the team you will have the opportunity to work with the finance manager and Accounting team. You will also be in regular communication with our donors community members stakeholders and other internal departments.

The roles and tasks will be varied and will include :

Process claims payments pledges and prepare invoices

Issue receipts for donations gifts in kind and invoices

Reconciliations

Prepare accounts payable payments

Managing aged debtors monthly

Assist with monthend processes

Assist with annual Audit

Oversee incoming donations asset management and depreciation grant management and reporting tasks

Provide assistance and report directly to the Financial Manager

Other Adhoc tasks as and when needed

Participate in meetings conferences and team activities

Establish and maintain effective relationships with frontline staff management vendors community donors and the general public

Be culturally aware and be able to work with people from various backgrounds. Be able to deal with a wide variety of people on various issues

Maintain confidential records and files

Essential Criteria

Not for Profit experience is desirable but not essential

Bachelors degree in accounting business and / or finance

A working knowledge of Australian taxation laws the GST regime and popular accounting software (Xero) and Blackbaud (CRM)

A high level of competence in the full range of Microsoft Office products

Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with a range of key personnel

Must demonstrate attention to detail and good recordkeeping skills to meet state and federal tax and nonprofit regulations

Ability to work without direct supervision and within a team

Excellent time management multitasking and prioritising skills
