About The Company

Our client is a leading trade services provider, specialising in plumbing, roofing, electrical, and HVAC for the energy, marine, mining, and defence sectors. With a skilled team of 25+, they serve the Cairns, Innisfail, and Atherton Tablelands regions.

Our client is looking for a passionate HVAC & Refrigeration Technician to join their Cairns team on a full-time, permanent basis. Key responsibilities include :

  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Managing job data through mobile app software for accurate reporting
  • Practicing safe work habits and maintaining company tools and vehicles
  • Communicating with clients to assess their heating, cooling, and refrigeration needs
  • Working efficiently in a team to complete projects on time and to high-quality standards
  • Mentoring apprentices and providing hands-on training in HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems
  • Diagnosing faults and performing preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration units

About You

The successful candidate will possess the following :

  • Must have your own tools
  • A valid Drivers Licence and ARCtick Licence
  • A Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
  • The ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and client interactions
  • At least 6 months of experience as a HVAC / Refrigeration technician
