Decontamination Nurse or Technician

About the role

Based in Wagga Wagga, NSW, we are looking for a clinical staff member to assist with pre operative sterile set ups and post operative decontamination and collation of instruments. This would suit somebody looking for a full time / part time position on a temporary six months contract. There is a possibility of a permanent position for the right applicant.

Your main duties will include :

  • Preparation of sterile set ups according to the surgeon's preference cards.
  • Checking and decontamination of surgical instruments immediately post op.
  • Packing, transporting and organising transfer of instruments and equipment.

  • Hard working, honest and reliable
  • Experience as a perioperative nurse or CSSD technician
  • Ability to work independently, whilst also being able to collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant qualifications and right to work in australia.
