We are currently seeking a Respiratory & Sleep Scientist with a passion for marketing to join our team and help expand our services.

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Respiratory & Sleep Scientist who is also interested in driving marketing efforts for our respiratory & sleep services. This role blends clinical expertise in respiratory & sleep care with a strategic focus on marketing, including patient and GP engagement. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to combine their scientific knowledge and marketing skills to promote our services and educate the community on respiratory health. Seeking candidates for both full-time and part-time positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respiratory & Sleep Scientist Responsibilities :
  • Conduct Diagnostic Assessments :
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary / lung function testing, and home-based sleep studies to assess respiratory conditions.
  • Interpret test results and provide recommendations to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Provide patients with information about the procedures and address any questions they may have.
  • Patient Care :
  • Provide high-quality care in a clinical setting, including supporting patients in understanding their respiratory conditions and treatment plans.
  • Data Management :
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage test data in compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
  • Document test results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Equipment Maintenance :
  • Ensure all respiratory / sleep testing equipment is maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly.
  • Marketing Responsibilities :
  • Brand Promotion : Promote the company’s brand by fostering relationships with GPs through GP lunches and building strategic alliances with Practice Managers, with the goal of increasing referrals and sales.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must possess unrestricted full working rights in Australia.
  • Clinical experience in respiratory and / or sleep testing is required.
  • Education and Certification :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Science, Health / Biomedical Science, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Respiratory Scientist (or equivalent certification as required by Queensland or local regulatory bodies) with ANZSRS standards.
  • Additional certifications in sleep medicine or pulmonary function testing will be highly valued.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Strong Communication Skills :
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both patients and GPs.
  • Ability to articulate thoughts clearly and accurately.
  • Technical Skills :
  • Familiarity with healthcare software platform such as HealthTrack.
  • Detail-Oriented & Analytical :
  • Strong attention to detail in both clinical and marketing tasks.
  • Valid Australian driver's license.
