Disability Support Worker

About the Role

Are you a confident and experienced Disability Support Worker who's comfortable managing challenging behaviours?

We're looking for casual staff to support a customer in Nudgee through In-Home Support and Community Access services.

This role includes a mix of short and long shifts, including sleepovers.

You'll be following a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Plan, providing personal care assistance, and helping the customer work toward their goals in both home and community settings.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting customer with challenging behaviours using proactive strategies

Following a PBS plan to guide behaviour support

Providing personal care and assistance with daily routines

Promoting community access and engagement

Building trust and rapport in a structured support environment

Maintaining accurate daily progress notes and incident reports

What We're Looking For

Experience supporting customers with complex behaviours

Calm, resilient and confident in behaviour support environments

Active, compassionate and respectful of customer dignity

Valid driver's licence (P2 or open class)

Senior First Aid and CPR certificate

NDIS worker screening clearance (yellow card)

QLD blue card (working with children check)
