Part Time Basis

Competitive base rates – EEN : $38.57 to $43.46 p / hr – PCA : $34.21 to $39.93 p / hr (dependent on qualifications & experience)
Part Time Basis – 7 shifts per fortnight
Based at our Eunice Seddon Residential Aged Care Home in Dandenong (VIC)

Eunice Seddon Home, located in Dandenong, offers affordable, high-quality accommodation to people aged 50 years and over.

Your new role

We are currently seeking a proactive Enrolled Endorsed Nurse or Personal Care Assistant (with the ability to administer medications) to join our friendly and dynamic residential team at our Eunice Seddon Home on a Part Time basis.

The roster will be as follows : Week 1 : Tuesday (1430 – 2145), Thursday, Friday & Saturday (0700 – 1400)

Your responsibilities and duties will include :

Assisting residents with personal care including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming and other activities of daily living

To observe and report changes in resident’s behaviour or physical condition

To undertake medication management and treatment procedures as directed by the Residential Site Manager or person in charge

To liaise with medical practitioners, pharmacists and other health services to provide relevant services for the care and wellbeing of the residents

Assisting in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs

Observing and reporting changes in residents’ behaviour or physical condition and maintain appropriate documentation as required

Providing emotional support to residents.

We are looking for candidates with the following :

Ability to work both in team and autonomously

Cert IV / Diploma of Nursing (with current AHPRA Registration) or Certificate III / IV in Aged Care / Individual Support

Completion of medication administration unit (HLTHPS006 - Assist Clients with Medication)

Prior experience in housing & homelessness support, aged care, welfare, disability support, mental health or community / home care

The ability to enhance or maintain our residents independence and lifestyle

A friendly and non-judgmental attitude
