Senior Partnerships Director – Sports Marketing & Sponsorship

The Role
We're looking for an experienced client service lead who can manage a high performing partnership management team on the day to day management of our Publicis brand sport sponsorships.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and execution across major sponsorships with rights holders including NRL, AFL, Cricket Australia, and other premier properties and events
- Own relationships with clients across some of Australia's leading brands, driving year‑round engagement and measurable outcomes
- Develop and oversee integrated campaigns that span sponsorship strategy, rights management, activation, ambassador / athlete partnerships, branded content, media integration, and events
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior clients, helping them navigate the evolving sports and entertainment landscape
- Lead and mentor a high‑performing account service team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability and collaboration
- Build strong, trusted relationships with sporting bodies, production partners, talent managers, and internal Publicis Groupe agencies
- Drive organic growth through strategic thinking, innovation and commercial insight
- Contribute to new business development and agency profile‑building initiatives
What you'll need
8+ years in a sponsorship, sports marketing, or brand partnerships role, preferably within an agency or rights holder environmentDeep knowledge of the Australian sports ecosystem, particularly NRL, AFL, football, tennis, basketball and cricketDemonstrated ability to turn sponsorship rights into meaningful integrated campaigns, combining media, digital, PR, events, experiential, and partnershipsStrong understanding of campaign lifecycle management : strategy, planning, creative, production, execution, reportingExcellent leadership skills and a track record of developing strong team culture and performanceStrong commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets, contracts, and reporting with confidenceOutstanding presentation, communication, and relationship‑building abilitiesA strategic thinker with creative flair and a passion for sport and fan cultureWhy Join Publicis Sport & Entertainment?
