What youll be doing

The Deescalation and Minimisation of Aggression (DAMA) Trainer role is pivotal to help implement strategies to minimise and manage clinical aggression and the ongoing professional development of all staff within AMAH.

The primary focus of this role is to deliver training assess training outcomes and participate in an ongoing evaluation process in all settings in AMAH. This role will also provide input to the ongoing development of the training model and broader program aims.

About you

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board via AHPRA
  • Recent experience working in Mental Health Nursing / Education
  • Completed DAMA training in the past 12 months orequivalent Aggression Management training
  • Capability to facilitate multiple OVA training sessions per week both full day or short sessions and all activities related to these sessions.
  • Relevant credentials in Aggression management or conflict resolution
  • Current Victorian Drivers License
