Your role at St John of God Health Care (Berwick, Frankston and Langmore)

To provide Supply Services to the St John of God Berwick Hospital, Frankston Hospital and Langmore Centre. Picking, packing and despatching of orders, servicing Imprest stores and the receipting and distribution of incoming goods to the wards and departments.

The Position

Adherence at all times to the receipting and distribution procedures.

Acceptance and checking of goods received at Berwick, Frankston and Langmore Hospitals.

Assist with the unloading of goods when required using appropriate materials handling aids / equipment – Walkie Stacker, Pallet Movers, Trolleys etc.

Check incoming goods against the couriers / carriers running sheet or consignment notes for consignee details, quantity and condition of parcels.

Ensure deliveries are correct relating to quantity, quality and specification, conforming to the details and conditions on the Purchase Order.

Accurately receipting orders in the computerised supply system and processing / filing paperwork / documentation such as packing slip / invoices and receipt reports.

Ordering Imprest supplies for wards & departments within the SJG Hospital Berwick, Frankston and Langmore campuses using a scanning device to record required replenishment quantities

Deliver Imprest orders to the wards & departments within the SJG Hospital Berwick, Frankston and Langmore campuses to replenish imprest stock

Check each item against the delivery advice for accuracy and place in the correct location within each imprest storage area, restocking shelves.

Rotation of stock to ensure first in, first out (FIFO) (and / or nearest expiry date).

Handle and store goods correctly to comply with clinical and infectious control standards.

You will have high-level verbal and written communication skills, a demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage priorities and maintain performance at a high level within allocated time schedules along with basic mathematical skills to determine and verify stock quantities, prices and volume of goods.

To succeed you will possess a valid drivers license and the ability to be able to travel between our south east Melbourne sites. You will have basic computer skills and physical capability to perform all functions required by this position.

We can offer you

Salary : $57,859 to $59,522 pro rata for part time, plus 11% superannuation

Permanent part time position, up to 45.6 hours per fortnight

Based at the Berwick hospital
