    The Opportunity

    In what is likely to be a long-term casual assignment our client requires people with good mechanical aptitude and competent in using hand and power tools to perform tool assembly, service and maintenance in their Tool Services Workshop in Dandenong South.

    A background in assembly of equipment is an advantage but not essential just a proven work history using hand and / or power tools is required. Duties include :

    • Receives, checks and receipts inwards goods
    • Check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices
    • Label goods with details of location in storage
    • Ensures all orders, transfers and customer pick-ups are dispatched and handled correctly
    • Ensures goods in despatch are packed safely
    • Ensure all applicable documentation is attached to the goods and correctly labelled
    • Maintains the highest standard of housekeeping, and ensures plant and equipment are regularly maintained
    • Assist with regular stock-takes when required
    • Undertake process rework tasks as directed
    • Follow the procedure and carry out the servicing task on approved tools
    • Follow and promote the order of the service schedule
    • Identify faults with the tool and advise the required spare parts
    • Complete the installation of spare parts
    • Complete the workflow documentation to assist in the sharing of information
    • Communication to the customer advising further works and cost of parts
    • Provide detail concerning the delivery options available to customers
    • Utilise online and pc based systems to assist with communication tasks
    • To be considered for this role you will need :

    • Competent use of hand and power tools
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to work autonomously
    • Basic PC skills
    • The hours are 6am to 2 : 30pm Monday to Friday Only candidates who are able to commit to this roster will be considered.

    • Please note this role is only for those who reside and have full work rights in Australia (no restrictions).
