Health and Security Assistant – Illawarra Hospital Group

Reference : REQ613076

Pay : $32.10 per hour + 12% super & salary packaging

Type : Various Casual, Permanent and Temporary Full Time and Part Time

Provide a clean, hygienic and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake cleaning duties including rooms, equipment, utensils and fresh linen.
  • Report any damage, defective items and observations about the patient environment.
  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, mobility, pre‑operative shaves and report any concerns.
  • Perform security duties directed by hospital management, ensuring a secure environment for staff, patients and visitors.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • Hold a current Class 1A NSW Security Licence.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Current valid Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Physical Screening Assessment required.
