About the Role

An exciting opportunity awaits a Registered Nurse who is eager to work in a general practice providing primary health care to the Blue Mountains community.

This position is well-suited for a Registered Nurse with experience in General Practice or primary health settings, who is skilled in delivering quality care to patients with complex needs across various backgrounds and age groups. The ability to work independently, manage workloads efficiently, and meet deadlines is also essential for success in this role.

Ideally, the practice is seeking someone who is happy to work 2 days a week (Monday and Friday) from 8.30 am – 5.30 pm with the flexibility to increase hours during periods of leave, either on a casual or permanent part-time basis – Award rates apply.

Duties

Triage and assessment of patients in the waiting room
Wound Management
Adult and paediatric immunisations
Assist doctor with clinical procedures
Maintain clinical documentation
Assist doctor with chronic disease management (TCA, GPMP and Health Assessments)
Maintaining recall and reminder systems
Management of stock control and equipment maintenance

About You

You will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for helping others whilst being confident with administering immunisations, cold chain and working within infection control standards. Additionally, your experience in Chronic Disease Management would be highly regarded.

Key Requirements

Current AHPRA Registration

Experience working in a fast-paced General Practice and / or primary health setting

Ability to manage within a workplace setting with fluctuating levels of demand

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Current immunisation status in accordance with NSW Health guidelines

Current Working with Children’s Check and CPR Certificate
