Join Nyrstar as a Graduate Metallurgist in Port Pirie, gaining hands-on experience in metallurgical processes within a global multi-metals company.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include :
- Exposure to all aspects of the business and plant operations including Finance, Safety and Environment
- Involvement in Metallurgical Planning and Technical Projects
- Rotations through pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processes such as Top Submerged Lance (TSL) Furnace, Blast Furnace, Refinery, Zinc Slag Fuming and Copper Plants
- Working with mentoring from Senior Plant Metallurgists and support from engineers and operators
- Opportunity to develop leadership skills and participate in ongoing technical professional education
About You
The company is looking for :
Completion of a Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy degree or graduation within the past two years for immediate startDemonstrated experience in vacation work or post-degree on-the-job experience is highly advantageousInvolvement in extracurricular activities is highly advantageousCompensation & Benefits
