About the role

CDC NSW is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at our Seven Hills head office. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Accounting, this role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial accounts in line with accounting standards, internal policies, and relevant tax legislation.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with detail, analysing financial data, and contributing to continuous improvement within a collaborative team environment.

Key accountabilities

• Ownership of month-end close including journals, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
• Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations with variance analysis and commentary
• Fixed assets accounting including additions, disposals, and depreciation (book and tax)
• Support statutory obligations including FBT, payroll tax, superannuation, and workers compensation with support for BAS as required
• Oracle uploads to our parent company
• Assist with income tax and year-end finalisation
• Support internal and external audits and respond to audit queries
• Monthly performance reporting and technical analysis
• Identify control gaps and drive process and documentation improvements
• Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and internal policies
