This position description describes the responsibilities and accountabilities for the People & Culture Advisor at Neumann Steel Pty Ltd. The People & Culture Advisor will report to the People & Culture Manager.

Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the WHSMS so that we can achieve corporate goals and objectives.Work collaboratively and in consultation with the Department Manager, and other workers towards the prevention of incidents that may cause high severity injury, illness or harm to people, property, or the environment on all company sites.Support all safety, health, and wellbeing initiatives thereby ensuring the company has a workforce that is fit for work.Contribute to improvements to risk assessments and safe work procedures within areas of responsibility.Demonstrate commitment to the company core safety values and safety culture behaviours.Demonstrate responsibility for environmental outcomes and report to address environmental problems.Key Responsibilities
Responsible for delivering operational P&C advice to line managers across the business and providing the full range of general Human Resources services and activities.Provide business improvements for the induction and onboarding process.Provide advice and play a major role in work reviews and change processes.Provide specialised P&C advice and guidance to management on various industrial relations and employment law issues including award and legislation interpretation.Partner with line managers to review employee relations, performance management and staff management.Provide guidance and support to managers on issues relating to employment law, industrial relations, training, health and safety, employee grievances, counselling and warnings, policy and procedures and any other issues involving employees.Manage and lead employee variations i.e. position changes, salary / rate increases, department changes etc.Manage all flexible work arrangement request in line with legislation and business requirements.Manage and continually develop understanding and capability of the HRIS (ELMO Talent).Provide assistance to managers across the business in facilitating their department needs with reference to the HRIS and supporting capability to improve efficiencies and streamline processes.Manage employee probationary review process.Carry out the termination process with exiting employees and coordinate the completion of exit interviews.Assist P&C Manager with the coordination of annual salary and performance reviews across both Salary and Wage employees.Communicate changes and the impact of Industrial Relations and legislative reforms.Assist the P&C Manager with weekly, monthly and ad-hoc P&C reporting.Monitoring, reviewing and updating all P&C policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation.Work with Managers to coordinate the negotiation of the EBA.Review policy, procedures and workflows and communicate to employees.Conduct salary benchmarking as requested by the P&C Manager or Executive Management Team.Carry out the annual WGEA reporting.Manage and maintain the company organisational chart.Assist with recruitment when requested.Manage the NS P&C Inbox.Carry out project work as allocated and directed.Research programs for upskilling / training internal staff.Drive Neumann Steel to become an Employer of Choice by way of introducing benefits, initiatives and other methods.Manage an EAP program for employees.Carry out other duties as required.Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience
Demonstrated experience in a P&C Advisor level role preferably in a similar environment.Relevant tertiary qualification in HRM.Well-developed communication, presentation, facilitation and problem-solving skills.Highly developed administration and computer skills in particular Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to communicate with a wide range of people and an ability to provide professional support and advice to employees and managers.Knowledge and previous experience with a HRIS, Payroll systems and Time and Attendance systems highly regarded.#J-18808-Ljbffr
