About the firm

Are you an Intermediate Accountant looking to join a highly regarded firm – who offer flexibility, career progression and a relaxed but vibrant team culture?

Charterhouse are partnered with one of our long-standing clients who are looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join their growing office based in Sydney CBD. This firm was established in the 1940’s and have a substantial corporate, business, and high net worth client base.

About the role

You will work closely with a successful leadership team, and you will help manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including some with turnovers into the billions, as well as international clients and ASX listed clients.

Some of your key responsibilities may include :

  • Preparing financial statements and taxation returns for companies, partnerships, trusts, and individuals
  • Assisting with taxation issues, including GST, CGT, FBT, and Div7
  • Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
  • Managing client interactions and responsibilities
  • Mentoring and reviewing junior staff work

Skills & Experience :

  • 2+ years of experience in Business Services
  • Proficiency with Xero
  • Currently studying towards or completed your CA / CPA qualification
  • A strong understanding of tax and accounting fundamentals
