The Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated, highly organised and proactive Legal Secretary to join their Melbourne-based General Insurance team. This is an excellent opportunity to support a large and collaborative team of partners, lawyers and clerks, working across a diverse range of insurance matters.

As one of two legal secretaries supporting the team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. Your responsibilities will include :

• Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders
• Diary management and travel arrangements
• Arranging medico-legal assessments and briefing counsel
• Preparing legal documents and court materials
• Drafting correspondence including emails, letters and memoranda
• Monthly billing and fee administration
• Managing electronic files and document management systems
• Coordinating client and team events
