Job description

Role

The role reports to the Manager of the NJC Therapeutic Services Team.

The incumbent will have appropriate accreditation in Alcohol and other Drug assessment in addition to highly developed skills in case management working with complex client needs within a multidisciplinary and multi-agency workplace.

The role will involve a close working relationship with the NJC Magistrate and Registry, Corrections, Victoria Police prosecutions and the duty lawyer team. The role will also work closely with a multidisciplinary team of service delivery agencies based at the NJC. The role will rely upon a collaborative, team-oriented approach to manage individual cases.

About You

  • Extensive experience in the assessment and case management of clients who present with drug and alcohol and other complex support needs.
  • Sound knowledge of evidenced-informed practice models and frameworks for working with clients with complex support needs.
  • Fulfils requirements for DHHS Accredited Forensic Clinical Drug Assessor
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain and enhance linkages and relationships with key stakeholders including the judiciary, legal profession, other government departments, police, community agencies and court users.
