About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to provide technical support for mechanical projects site-wide, covering key surface & underground infrastructure, as well as providing mechanical engineering support to the mine operations team. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong leadership skills, and have a passion for engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assisting the Mechanical Engineering Manager and undertaking long and short-term mechanical engineering planning.
- Ensuring mechanical work is carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Proactively manage costs by conducting regular reconciliations of expenditure.
- Assisting with site project work as required.
- Collaborate and innovate to continuously improve performance and processes to optimise equipment availability and reliability.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability through continuous improvement.
- Manage the Mechanical safety and compliance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership to the tradespersons.
- Prioritising multiple tasks and high-priority situations.
