Orthopedic Registrar (PHO) . Nautilus Orthopaedics, Hervey Bay & Fraser Coast, QLD. Residents & Registrars (Healthcare & Medical). Full-time. $104,000–$120,000 per year. Orthopedic PHO Full-Time Position | Immediate Start. A unique opportunity for a motivated orthopedic PHO to gain high-volume surgical experience, research exposure, and career progression in a supportive environment.

About the Role : Full-time position with immediate start. Primary surgical assistant for two days per week. One day per week seeing new patients side by side with direct supervision. Two dedicated days for research, with guaranteed academic output. Opportunity for additional paid overtime covering evening and weekend ward shifts at a private hospital.

About the Surgeon : The successful applicant will work alongside Dr. Elix, a Queensland-trained and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with over 16 years of specialist experience. Dr. Elix performs a high volume of arthroplasty, sports, and upper limb surgeries, providing broad exposure to orthopedics without any gaps. This role offers hands-on training in a well-rounded orthopedic practice.

Requirements : Australian-trained medical graduate. Successful completion of intern year. General medical registration with AHPRA. References from prior employment demonstrating clinical competence and professionalism.
