We’re Hiring: Handyperson

The Handyperson is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance, repair, and minor installation tasks across our sites. Your work will support smooth day-to-day operations and ensure our assets remain in top condition. This role will cover the region (multiple markets) from the Brisbane River south to Tweed Heads, and north to Noosaville.

What You’ll Bring To The Table

We are seeking someone who is reliable and proactive, with a practical, hands‑on approach, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, and customer‑focused with a professional attitude.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Replace seals on equipment, fridges, and cold rooms
• Replace silicon in kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas
• Install pest strips on doors and windows
• Fix and adjust doors, locks, and hinges
• Carry out minor leak repairs, including tap washers and small plumbing issues
• Install plug‑and‑play appliances, including minor programming/setup
• Perform non‑electrical preventative maintenance tasks
• Patch and paint internal walls
• Install shelves and other fittings
• Repair fences and gates
• Clear gutters and downpipes of debris
• Touch‑up and line marking in car parks or designated areas
• Remove graffiti from internal and external surfaces
• Pressure washing
• Maintain clean, safe, and hazard‑free work areas
• Report major maintenance issues requiring specialist trades

Key Performance Indicators

• Complete repair and preventative maintenance tasks on time and in accordance with company policies and safety standards
• Demonstrate health and safety best practices in all work carried out

Who You Are

The ideal candidate will hold a current driver’s licence for travel between sites, with a White Card preferred, a Working at Heights certification desirable, and basic Microsoft Office skills.

You also Bring: Skills and Experience

• Experience in general maintenance, repairs, or handyman work
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and painting
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with maintenance systems and managing work orders and parts
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform manual tasks safely
