The Role

As a Project Officer within the Maintenance Assurance and Property Condition team, you will specialize in the Property Condition aspect of the team's work. Your responsibilities include conducting on-site inspections of Victoria's social housing portfolio, assessing the attributes and conditions of building elements to inform planning decisions. These inspections provide vital information for internal and external stakeholders to make informed decisions regarding property retention and upgrades. A high standard of building / trade knowledge, computer literacy, and interpersonal skills are essential. You may also assist with the Maintenance Assurance program, auditing contractor work for quality, timeliness, and compliance.

Accountabilities Include

  • Maintain accurate records of work activities in compliance with legislative requirements and department policies.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met, working in accordance with legislative and departmental OHS policies.
  • Ensure maintenance processes meet contractual and service standards.
