Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Finance Analyst / Associate to join their dynamic team. This role offers an opportunity to extend your skills in property finance within an established private credit fund.

Role : Investment Analyst / Associate

Location : Sydney CBD

Contract Type : Permanent

Workplace Type : Hybrid

Experience Level : Associate

Salary : Competitive and based on experience

What you'll do

  • Conduct general and targeted market research to understand and analyse property and financial markets
  • Review and analyse property investment transactions and development proposals across various assets
  • Develop financial models that assess the financial feasibility of property debt and equity transactions
  • Assist Portfolio Manager with client engagement to understand funding requirements and evaluate proposal feasibility & capital structure
  • Conduct required onboarding checks in relation to KYC, AML and CTF obligations
  • Maintain accurate records of all proposed, progressing and completed deals in applicable databases or systems
  • Assist with all aspects of the due diligence process, including evaluating and summarising valuations, builders, project documentation, market research, planning advice and status
  • Identify and mitigate key risks in the transactions
  • Draft credit and investment papers in consultation with Directors

What you bring

  • Proven experience in financial analysis within the property finance sector
  • Strong ability to conduct comprehensive market research
  • Proficiency in developing robust financial models using MS Excel
  • Experience in client engagement and understanding their funding requirements
  • Knowledge of KYC, AML and CTF obligations
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of deals in applicable databases or systems
  • Experience in assisting with due diligence processes
  • Ability to identify and mitigate transaction risks
