Structural / Mechanical Engineer

The Company :

Our client is a leading supplier of cargo handling solutions and services to ports, terminals, distribution centres and heavy industry.

They specialise in terminal automation and energy-efficient container handling. They work with customers with material handling needs in any place and any industry.

The Position :

We are looking for a skilled Structural / Mechanical Engineer with expertise in maintaining large cranes. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our cargo handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform structural assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with Australian standards.
• Develop detailed reports to contribute to maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement engineering solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing products and processes.
• Provide technical support to clients on site and remotely.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering
• High Risk / Working at Heights Tickets
• Proven experience working on large cranes, preferably in the cargo handling industry
• In-depth knowledge of the Australian standards
• Proficiency in engineering software and design tools

About you :

• Australian citizenship or Permanent Resident status
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel to client sites, including planned interstate travel to major cities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
