THE ROLE

JD Sports is on the lookout for a passionate Merchandiser to join our team. This role will support in ensuring our stores have the right stock at the right time and is responsible for delivering sales, markdown, stock, intake, and profit plans.

Reporting into the Senior Merchandiser, this role will be responsible for, but not limited to :

• Quarterly review and build up of plans
• Monthly update and ownership of WSSI
• Orderbook approval with AM (risk lines / cancels etc)
• Communicating and managing cancel requests with Suppliers
• Review of team call ins
• Markdown planning for review and sign off
• Provide solutions to any forecast shortfall vs planned sales / profit $
• Initiate store to store transfers
• Line forecasting of core styles
• Monitor performance vs signed off sale plan and reforecast and provide direction to buyers on cancellations and markdowns based on WSSI plans
• Management of stock on hand with recommendations where necessary
• Identify areas of focus and opportunity for team after weekly trade
• Management of reporting – weekly department reporting / brand requests / store requests
• Store visits and action plans where required
