• Salary Classification : Staff Specialist Level 1 in accordance with the Staff Specialist Private Practice Remuneration Levels

Calvary Mater Newcastle is looking for a Staff Specialist to join our General Medicine team.

Located in Waratah, Calvary Mater is the major cancer care centre for Hunter New England Local Health District. We meet the needs of our local communities by offering a comprehensive range of health services and clinics including Coronary Care and Cardiology, Surgery, Intensive Care, General Medicine and 24 / 7 Emergency Care.

The role :

The Staff Specialist will perform clinical services for inpatients admitted under the general medicine service, and participate in the bed allocation process and management of transfer of care and patient flow according to patient need and the Hospital’s requirements.

Applicants for this role must hold AHRPA registration and unrestricted Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.  This role is not suitable for overseas trained physicians requiring supervision.
