We are seeking a skilled and experienced auto electrician to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis.
This hands-on role suits an electrician who enjoys diagnostics, system integration and working across modern vehicle and truck body electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose complex electrical faults across vehicles, truck bodies, machinery and auxiliary systems
Install, repair and maintain automotive electrical and electronic systems
Test, repair and replace wiring looms, alternators, starter motors, relays, control modules and sensors
Install and integrate aftermarket accessories including LED lighting, camera systems, alarms, radios and control interfaces
Use diagnostic tools, multimeters and testing equipment to identify faults and verify repairs
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals and service documentation
Perform preventative maintenance and electrical safety inspections
Ensure all work complies with Australian electrical standards, manufacturer specifications and workplace procedures
Accurately complete job cards, service records and compliance documentation
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Skills & Experience
Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent qualification
Minimum 3-5 years' experience as an Auto Electrician in a workshop or mobile environment
Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving capabilities
Experience working with modern vehicle electronics and CAN-bus systems (highly regarded)
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
Solid understanding of electrical safety standards, risk controls and best practices
High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled trade team
Current Australian driver's licence (preferred)
