About the Centre

Benalla Aquatic Centre is proudly run by the YMCA on behalf of the Benalla Rural City Council. The Centre has 4 large pools including a 25m Pool, Program Pool, Toddler Pool (with a slide) and 50m Outdoor Swimming Pool. We also have a Gym and Group Fitness studio in which offers a wide range of equipment for all patrons and staff to enjoy.

About the Role

As a Swim Teacher at Benalla, you will be developing and delivering lesson plans that promote swimming skill building in school aged children, combining stroke development with water safety and enhancing the overall confidence and ability of your students.

• Structure and design lessons with appropriate activities that challenge and develop your students swimming and water safety ability
• Recommend students for level progression as appropriate
• Teach and model effective problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills

This is a Casual role with an hourly rate starting at $33.37 + super & Y Benefits.

About You

You will be passionate about inspiring and developing water safety and swimming skills in children and young people. Experience in other teaching or coaching roles is a bonus but not necessary. Personal attributes such as patience, respect, and enthusiasm will take you far as a Swim Teacher!
