We are an automotive electrical business that specializes in auto electrical including batteries, air conditioning and lighting, also mining and agricultural in outback NSW

About You :

• High school diploma is preferred
• Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred

Position Summary :

The Automotive Electrical Technician is responsible to perform basic care and maintenance on automotive equipment. Repair or replace worn parts, such as starter motors, alternators, other auto electrical parts and air condition parts. Automotive service technicians, inspect, maintain, and repair light vehicles, heavy vehicles and stationary engines.

Key Requirements :

• Proven experience as auto electrician
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
• Excellent physical condition

Job Responsibility :

• Utilise a wide variety of tools to repair parts as efficiently as possible.
• Troubleshoot vehicle electrical systems
• Diagnose problems, maintain and repair electronic components in clients’ vehicles
• Disassemble and reassemble parts
• Service, repair and replace faulty wiring and electrical components
• Install and service a/c system in vehicles.
• Fix damaged or install new electronic components and parts into vehicles
• Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly
• Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective
• Analyse and interpret technical diagrams, read blueprints and other process drawings
• Complete and process job reports and other paperwork
• Work well as part of a team and independently
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Ask customers about their concerns and vehicle issues
• Review and explain proposed repairs and estimates with customers
• Invoice and process payments for customers
