The department cares for trauma including burns and acute spines, neurosurgical emergencies, neurology patients, major orthopaedic, cardiology and cardiothoracic, oncology and paediatrics. Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) ED was awarded the 2021 College of Emergency Nursing Australasian – Australasian Emergency Department of the Year. What you’ll be doing

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcomes.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current Emergency or Intensive Care experience.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases. The full list of requirements is outlined in the NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 11). You will be required to complete the OASV Undertaking / Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool during the recruitment process.
