The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our team. Supporting our group function, this is a great career opportunity to be involved at a strategic level at Crown. Assisting with the internal and external financial reporting requirements of the Crown Resorts Group and parent company Blackstone. You will be responsible for :

  • Compiling financial information from Crown’s subsidiaries, and maintaining the financial accounts for Head office and Treasury entities.
  • Raising accurate and timely corporate payments, including group interest payments and intercompany transfers.
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations for all accounts with minimal variances and adjustments, including liaising with subsidiary entities where applicable.
  • Review and distribute daily results for the Group.
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly management reports for the Group.

About you

This is a great opportunity for an accountant with a couple of years of experience in a mid-tier or big four accountancy experience. We have the capacity to be able to upskill this role for the right candidate who has strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently. In return, you will receive a foundation in group level accounting with various subsidiaries. You will also have :

  • Commerce or Business degree qualified with CA or CPA post-graduate.
  • A sound understanding of Accounting and Tax related requirements.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to streamline complex information for a senior stakeholder group.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to communicate well with all areas and levels of an organisation.
  • A sound knowledge of computer applications, including the Microsoft Office suite of products and other Accounting Software packages; PeopleSoft is highly advantageous.
