What you’ll do
- Use a play‑based therapy approach (DIR Floortime) that is flexible, dynamic and tailored to each child’s interests and needs.
- Deliver therapy sessions in clinic, at children’s homes, schools, playgrounds or nature reserves.
- Use a family‑centred, coaching‑based approach where parents and the child’s priorities are at the forefront.
- Incorporate music, yoga, gardening, art, dance and other passions into therapy and group programmes.
- Collaborate with a small, supportive team of therapists and participate in fortnightly training and supervision.
Essential Requirements
Qualification in Speech Pathology (Bachelor or Masters).Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.First Aid & CPR Training or willingness to obtain.Full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.The right to live and work in Australia long‑term.A minimum 12‑month contract commitment.A demonstrable passion for working with children and young people.Flexibility, creativity and spontaneity and willingness to follow a child’s lead.Benefits and Additional Information
