Maintenance Fitter – Chemical Manufacturing

About the Role :

We’re seeking a hands-on Maintenance Fitter to join our team at a leading chemical manufacturing site. This is a solo fitter role, ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy and variety in their day.

You’ll be the go-to person for all mechanical maintenance, working closely with contractor electricians and reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing :

Reactive maintenance and replacement of pumps
Welding and grinding (MIG / TIG)
Working with pipes, valves, and mechanical systems
Collaborating with external contractors
Using software tools to log and manage maintenance tasks

What We’re Looking For :

Strong welding and fabrication skills

Confident with MIG / TIG and mechanical repairs

Software-savvy – comfortable with maintenance systems

Positive, can-do attitude – attitude is everything

Able to work independently and take initiative
