About the role
In this role, you will deliver safe, engaging and effective gym instruction while assessing participants, designing tailored programs and actively supporting member engagement and retention on the gym floor.

Work type: Casual
Classification: Band 2 $43.05 p/h (including casual loading)

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide safe, timely and effective instruction in the gymnasium.
• Screen and assess participants to develop and prescribe individual programs incorporating a diverse range of exercises and activities.
• Deliver timetabled gym floor sessions as required

About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong customer focus and the confidence to build rapport with members of all fitness levels, creating a welcoming and inclusive gym environment. You will demonstrate sound knowledge of safe exercise prescription, a proactive approach to engaging customers on the gym floor, and a commitment to maintaining professional standards and compliance requirements.

Essential Experience:

• Certificate III in Fitness (or above). National registration preferred.
• Working with Children’s Check
• Provide First Aid Certificate
• Current CPR Certificate
• Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
