Role overview

As a Graduate Operations Analyst, you’ll play a key role in our close-knit team, delivering high-quality technical support for our bespoke user applications—both internally and to external clients—while being immersed in the world of sport every single day.

What will you be doing?

This is a unique role with a wide range of responsibilities, including incident, problem and change management. It is therefore vital that the Operations team maintain a strong understanding of updates to the estate, including documentation, to provide the high level of support required.

You’ll quickly grasp our processes and actively propose improvements where needed. Each day presents fresh challenges, requiring your keen investigative abilities to uncover root causes. This continuous learning benefits the entire team.

You’ll closely collaborate with delivery, platform teams, and business users, as such you’ll be relying on your communication and relationship building skills. As the business evolves, so does your role, you’ll adapt to meet changing needs, contributing to the success of Star Lizard. You will also have the opportunity for additional project work, where you can gain more responsibility in areas of interest.

Working hours are generally 08 : 00-16 : 30, with one or two evenings each week (13 : 00-21 : 30), which rolls into on-call support. Any hours worked on-call are returned in lieu. You can expect to work around 40 weekend days a year. We do our best to work the rota around individual requests.

What skills will you have?

  • 2 : 1 or above Degree, ideally STEM or strong relevant work experience
  • A at A-Level Maths
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Great mental arithmetic skills
  • Strong leadership skills are essential
  • Knowledge of betting markets
  • Ability to work independently and in a group
  • Strong organisation and task management skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Confident using business software and digital tools, with a strong ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Able to follow technical processes accurately and troubleshoot basic IT issues independently
  • Technically curious, with a proactive approach to improving workflows and solving problems
