Social Worker

McArthur is proudly working with a Federal Government Agency to source an experienced Social Worker for their team based in the CBD.

In this pivotal role, you will be involved in :

• Providing high quality clinical services including evidence based individual counselling to staff in response to workplace stressors
• Supporting staff when having to conduct difficult conversations with clients by telephone.
• Running skills development sessions in both individual and small groups including, but not limited to :
• Dealing with stress and anxiety
• Anger management
• Managing difficult clients
• Responding to clients with mental health impairments
• Assertiveness skills
• Participating in program evaluation and research activities,
• Developing and maintaining effective communication and strong working relationships with a variety of business groups within the wider Department.
• Collecting and cataloguing quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate trends, effectiveness of supports provided and external support referrals.
