About the role

Are you an experienced environmental professional ready for your next challenge?

Join our high-performing, passionate team in Perth, working on some of the most significant environmental approvals projects in Australia. You’ll collaborate nationally with JBS&G’s multidisciplinary experts and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality assessments and approval documentation for clients across sectors.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality approval applications and technical reports to support environmental and planning approval requirements for a range of small to large scale projects, with a variety of clients
  • Interpret legislation, government policy, standards and guidelines to deliver tailored approvals strategies and outcomes for major projects
  • Work closely with State and Commonwealth regulatory agencies
  • Develop relationships with clients and ensure high quality customer service throughout projects
  • Prepare proposals, referral and approval documentation
  • Schedule, budget and project management
  • Liaise with subcontractors and clients
  • Collaborate on business development initiatives that contribute to company growth
  • About you

  • Demonstrated experience (5 years or more) in environmental assessments and approvals in Western Australia (consulting experience preferred but not essential)
  • Relevant tertiary education in environmental science, natural resource management, earth sciences, or related field
  • Excellent relationship building skills and proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work manage deadlines, budgets and quality of work
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Positive, proactive attitude and a love for collaborative work
  • Eligibility to work full-time in Australia and willingness to undergo a police clearance
