Kitchen Hand

The primary role of the Kitchen Hand is to assist the Head Chef in preparing 5 meals a day for up to 164 children and in the day-to-day operation of the centre's kitchen.

• Full time 5 days or Part time 2 or 3 days

7.6 hours per shift

10.30am - 6.30pm preferred

Duties will include :

• Cleaning duties across the centre & kitchen as requested by the Head Chef
• Uppack deliveries
• Ensure that all food is stored, prepared and served in a safe & hygienic environment
• Assisting in preparation and cooking nutritional meals (qualification dependent)
• Essential Criteria
• Certificate in Safe Food Handling (preferable)
• Working with Children Check
• The ability to work at a fast pace to keep a busy kitchen moving
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand in a large commercial kitchen is highly regarded
