The Centre operates from 6.30am - 6.30pm._The RoleThe primary role of the Kitchen Hand is to assist the Head Chef in preparing 5 meals a day for up to 164 children and in the day-to-day operation of the centre's kitchen.
- Full time 5 days or Part time 2 or 3 days
7.6 hours per shift
10.30am - 6.30pm preferred
Duties will include :
- Cleaning duties across the centre & kitchen as requested by the Head Chef
- Uppack deliveries
- Ensure that all food is stored, prepared and served in a safe & hygienic environment
- Assisting in preparation and cooking nutritional meals (qualification dependent)
- Essential Criteria
- Certificate in Safe Food Handling (preferable)
- Working with Children Check
- The ability to work at a fast pace to keep a busy kitchen moving
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand in a large commercial kitchen is highly regarded
