As an Assistant Project Manager (APM), you'll work under the guidance of our experienced Project Manager, gaining practical knowledge and mentorship to support the coordination and delivery of projects. You'll provide essential administrative support with tasks such as planning, scheduling, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, while expanding your knowledge of the project lifecycle and strengthening the capabilities that could prepare you for future project management opportunities.

You'll gain hands-on experience across exciting initiatives, including new service launches, facility upgrades, and organisational transformation projects across QLD, NSW and SA. Some travel interstate may be required.
This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Bowen Hills office in Brisbane. Salary for this role is $80k – $90k (depending on experience) plus Superannuation and Salary Packaging options to increase your take home pay.
What You'll Bring
You will bring tertiary qualifications in Project Management or proven experience in project coordination and administration (ideally within community services or health sector). This is a fast-paced role where priorities can shift quickly, deadlines are tight, and pressure is high, so you'll need to be comfortable working with agility and maintaining focus under changing circumstances. If you thrive in a hands-on environment and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves, here's what your day-to-day will involve :
Providing comprehensive administrative support across a diverse project portfolio.
Communicating effectively with stakeholders to clarify project needs, goals, and progress updates.
Contributing to project planning and development, assisting with scheduling and resource allocation.
Performing essential administrative tasks, including preparing invoices, drafting meeting minutes, sourcing estimates, and scheduling meetings.
Supporting meetings to keep projects on track.
Assisting the Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle, providing hands-on support across all phases.
Applying sound project methodology and reporting practices, ensuring compliance and consistency from initiation to completion.
Maintaining accurate and organized project documentation within the myProjects system.
Monitoring and reporting on key project metrics, including costs, timelines, risks, issues, variations, and scope changes.
