We have an opportunity for a Community Engagement Lead to deliver on the daily engagement activities. This includes proactive engagement with stakeholders and the community in order to minimise disruption and resolve enquiries in a proactive, efficient and timely manner.
Actively mentoring the junior members of the team you will be responsible for providing expert advice to ensure we are meeting our stakeholder and community expectations.
What you'll be doingLead the day to day community engagement on the contract, working with project engineers to ensure communications collateral is ready and projects avoid any delays.Maintain up to date information regarding status of enquiries in contracts customer system, and respond to ministerial enquiries in a timely mannerAssist the Community Engagement Manager and Stakeholder Liaison Manager with briefing sessions for local councilsAssist the Community Engagement Manager with finding and producing good news stories for social mediaSupport the Community Engagement Manager and Sustainability Manager with requirements for the ISC rating including achieving mandated targetsAssist the Community Engagement Manager with monthly client reporting.About youDegree qualified in communications or a relevant discipline.Ideally 3 to 5 year's experience in community engagement, stakeholder management or communications roles.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex and technical information into clear, concise messages.Ability to prepare high quality responses to customer feedback, ministerial and media enquiries.Adaptable and resilient. Calm and collected when work tempo increases.Transport and or construction exposure would be held in high regard.
