Our client, a federal government agency, is looking to appoint an APS 6 Program and Project Officer to support the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and other various programs that will improve the health outcome and accessibility of medical technologies / medicines for all Australians.

As an APS 6 Program and Project Officer, you will be working on a range of projects and financial / scenario modelling to support the listing of medicines on the PBS. Your responsibilities will also include, but not limited to :

Preparing and contributing to a range of written materials (eg. Policy and agenda papers, reports, briefs etc.)

Translating and interpreting complex data to explain analysis and modelling results to non-technical audiences

Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to develop productive working relationships

To be considered for this role, you will have the following qualifications and experience :

A qualification in health-related science (eg. Epidemiology, Medicine, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Nursing etc.)

Experience or qualification in Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Financial Modelling or other data related field will be highly regarded

Strong experience in programming languages for data analysis (eg. Excel, SAS, R, Python and SQL etc.) and data visualization tools (eg. Tableau, Qlik etc.)

Advanced knowledge in time series forecast, budget estimates and relevant costing models

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

Strong stakeholder interaction and management skills.
