  • Our client, a federal government agency, is looking to appoint an APS 6 Program and Project Officer to support the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and other various programs that will improve the health outcome and accessibility of medical technologies / medicines for all Australians.

    As an APS 6 Program and Project Officer, you will be working on a range of projects and financial / scenario modelling to support the listing of medicines on the PBS. Your responsibilities will also include, but not limited to :

  • Preparing and contributing to a range of written materials (eg. Policy and agenda papers, reports, briefs etc.)
  • Translating and interpreting complex data to explain analysis and modelling results to non-technical audiences
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to develop productive working relationships
  • To be considered for this role, you will have the following qualifications and experience :

  • A qualification in health-related science (eg. Epidemiology, Medicine, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Nursing etc.)
  • Experience or qualification in Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Financial Modelling or other data related field will be highly regarded
  • Strong experience in programming languages for data analysis (eg. Excel, SAS, R, Python and SQL etc.) and data visualization tools (eg. Tableau, Qlik etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge in time series forecast, budget estimates and relevant costing models
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder interaction and management skills.
