About Our Client
Our client is a leading hospitality and events group known for delivering premium experiences across Melbourne's most iconic venues. As Events Operations Manager, you'll oversee end-to-end event delivery, lead a high-performing team, and ensure flawless execution for corporate functions, weddings, and gala events.
Job Description
- Lead and manage all aspects of event operations for corporate functions, weddings, graduations, gala dinners, charity events, and private celebrations.
- Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance management, including apprentices and casual staff.
- Implement KPIs and operational processes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with service standards and deliver training on sequence of service.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, resolving customer service issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to streamline operations and maintain quality.
- Be available for after-hours and weekend events as required.
The Successful Applicant
- 3-5 years of experience in event operations within hospitality or similar environments.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Strong customer management and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management capabilities.
- Hands-on approach with a strategic mindset for operational improvement.
- Experience with high-profile venues or hospitality groups is highly regarded.
