The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated / integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region. The Quality and Innovation Unit provides leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of plans, programs, models and policies for improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Well-being. The Unit will develop and manage to maturity enhanced service delivery models in new and expanded functional IUIH services and programs.
About the Role?
The role will provide support across the Data and Research team in Health Information Systems administration and support, feeding into current Health Information Systems support across the region.
- Work in ways which are ethically, culturally and respectfully propa; fostering integrity in our conduct and actions by matching our ways with the values of IUIH and The Ways Statement
- Uphold client confidentiality, ensuring their right to privacy with information only being shared where consents are provided
- Deliver support for Health Information Systems (and other software where appropriate) across the network, and contribute to the creation and maintenance of associated training / support materials
- Actively monitor IUIH MMEx team email for general MMEx enquiries and requests for support
- Where requested, assist in other Health Information System administration activity (i.e. creation of new MMEx clinic / program sites and changes to existing sites)
- Participate in specific projects or activities as directed by the Health Information System – Quality Improvement Manager
- Conducting data quality audits and take responsibility for assigned data cleaning within MMEx to support quality care.
- Gain exposure and knowledge of other business units of IUIH and their use of MMEx and data
