Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Consultant Upper GI Surgeon located in the Greater Ipswich Area. The Consultant Upper GI Surgeon will be responsible for providing specialized upper gastrointestinal surgical care, conducting patient assessments, preoperative and postoperative patient care, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, and contributing to clinical audits and teaching. The Consultant will also be involved in developing and implementing treatment plans, performing surgeries, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Specialized skills in Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery and patient assessment
• Experience in preoperative and postoperative patient care
• Proficiency in conducting and contributing to clinical audits
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills for participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in teaching and mentoring medical staff
• Dedication to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
