Warrah is a disability services provider based in North West Sydney. Inspired by the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner Warrah has been offering quality supports and services for adults and children living with disability for over 50 years. Warrah is a vibrant community enriching the lives of individuals through our broad range of services which include Supported Independent Living (SIL) Community Support Services (CSS) and Warrah Specialist School. We also have a certified Biodynamic Farm and Farm Shop.
Description
We currently have a casual vacancy for regular weekday shifts and occasional Saturday shifts for the same candidate.
Applicants must be available to work all of the following shifts :
- 6 : 00am 11 : 00am every Thursday
- 8 : 00am 2 : 00pm and / or 8 : 30am 5 : 30pm on 2 other weekdays TBD
- 7 : 00am 3 : 30pm some Saturdays.
Area of Responsibility
The Farm Shop Sales Assistant is responsible for delivering friendly and helpful customer service to both the Warrah community and the wider public. You will represent Warrahs highquality organic and biodynamic products with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Working closely with a small team of staff Warrah participants with disability and volunteers the Sales Assistant acts as an ambassador for Warrahdemonstrating knowledge of biodynamic farming and supporting the Farms positive relationship with the public. The role also includes administrative duties that ensure the efficient running of the Farm Shop.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Provide highquality customer service while upholding standards in health safety and facility cleanliness.Unpack and sort produce deliveries.Pick and pack customer orders with attention to detail.Maintain accurate stock levels supplies and inventory records.Contribute to merchandising and marketing activities as directed.Support individuals with disability to participate in the above activities.Bake sourdough bread (training will be provided).Maintain accurate records accounts and shop systems.Foster collaborative and effective communication within the team.Promote and maintain a safe environment for customers and staff.Perform manual handling and heavy lifting tasks as required.Carry out other duties as needed.Skills And Experiences
