Project Controls Lead
to join our dynamic team. This full-time role will see you operating from both our CBD UGL Office and Kwinana Site Office, collaborating with skilled professionals to deliver real impact across key construction services projects.
About the Role
The Project Controls Lead – Digital System Implementation is a critical position designed to enhance UGL's digital capabilities and improve project delivery across a range of energy infrastructure contracts. You’ll lead the establishment and implementation of a standardised Digital Project Controls framework, utilising cutting-edge systems and sustainable solutions to streamline operations, reduce waste, and boost productivity.
Key Responsibilities
As the Project Controls Lead, you will :
Conduct gap analyses of current systems and processes.
Define success criteria and KPIs aligned with business objectives.
Lead the design, configuration, and integration of digital tools.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Develop system implementation timelines and cost forecasts.
Create detailed operating and user procedures.
Coordinate and manage system implementation schedules.
Provide guidance, training, and technical support to key stakeholders.
Ensure reporting accuracy and validate system interoperability.
Establish mechanisms for continuous improvement and review performance against KPIs quarterly.
Additionally, you will actively seek delivery improvement opportunities and generate innovative solutions to tackle project challenges. Compliance with UGL’s policies and procedures will form a core part of your operational responsibilities.
About You
To succeed in this role, you bring :
Extensive experience with Primavera P6 software – mandatory.
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (or trade qualifications with 5+ years in a similar role) – preferred.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Project Controls, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
A solid understanding of industry trends, best practices, and end-user requirements.
Proven expertise in project controls system implementation.
High attention to detail, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
A commitment to continuous improvement and professional conduct.
