Business Development Manager – KBR
KBR delivers science, technology and engineering solutions worldwide. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to identify and qualify business opportunities aligned with KBR’s strategic plan.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain market intelligence and identify entry strategies to grow KBR’s position in the Department of Defence and other relevant Federal Government Departments.
- Establish KBR within external networks and collaborate with the KBR ADSS Corporate Affairs team to raise brand awareness among prospective clients, partners and stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new client contacts, especially within the Department of Defence and other Federal Government Departments.
- Lead and manage pursuits consistent with the KBR Business Development Process, through Stages 1 and 2, from early shaping activities to handover to a Capture Manager in Stage 3.
- Accountable for pursuit outcomes—from identification and qualification through to handover to a Capture Manager and support of the remainder of the capture process until contract signature.
- Establish and qualify a pipeline of opportunities and maintain reporting using KBR’s CRM platform (Salesforce).
- Assist clients to identify and articulate their requirements and design outcome focused solutions.
- Support development of partnerships within the guidelines of the KBR ADSS Strategy and as approved by the Director, in support of new business opportunities.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in technical fields or equivalent experience in Defence or national security operations.Extensive and relevant network across Defence, Federal Government, Industry or Academia.Familiarity with Defence, Defence Capability and Defence Sustainment projects.Highly evolved communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.Values-based leadership style, with an ability to champion the KBR brand internally and externally.Desirable
Operational experience with Australian Defence Force capabilities.Business development experience in the Defence and national security market.Clearance & Compliance
All candidates must hold an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or higher should apply. AGSVA security clearance and compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are required.
