About the Role
We have an exciting career advancing opportunity at LexisNexis for a practicing Lawyer with significant Governance / Company secretarial and / or Corporate Counsel experience or a lawyer with significant and relevant corporate experience, to transition into a Legal Writing role and a legal content career.
You will have a solid understanding of the practical processes relevant to a governance lawyer and / or to the role of company secretarial or corporate counsel.
Reporting to the Content Manager, this is a permanent role preferably within commuting distance of one of our State-based offices (including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Canberra) but with the opportunity to work flexibly and / or remotely.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high quality up-to-date practical legal content, including guidance notes, checklists, precedents, legal updates and other tools
Prepare and maintain practically-focused content as well as practical resources for our popular Practical Guidance product that is Australia's most established and trusted 'how-to' of legal practice.
Provide support to Relationship Managers to help build brand awareness and influence market share across clients and stakeholders.
Participate in or contribute to in-market activities (eg masterclasses, webinars, customer feedback sessions).
Requirements
3+ years PQE
Australian qualified lawyer
Recent experience in an Australian mid to top tier law firm or in-house counsel role or relevant corporate experience
A strong practice background or keen interest in governance, company secretarial and / or corporate counsel and proven ability to adapt to new practice areas
Excellent communication and plain-English writing skills
Aptitude for building and fostering relationships with a range of diverse clients and local and international stakeholders
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
