Formwork Carpenter

to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis (38 hours per week).

The Role

The successful applicant will report to the site supervisor on a daily basis and carry out the following tasks :

Responsibilities

Making formwork from timber, plywood or plastic and steel as per shop drawings

Read and understand drawings

Select and order required materials and prepare layouts

Measure and cut wood or metal

Assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install

Safely operate hand and power tools

Assist other trades as required

Lead and manage a small team

Maintain tool and equipment and uphold housekeeping standards

Work outdoors in varying conditions and at heights

Qualifications & Experience

Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC

• ) or equivalent; Certificate III in Formwork (FWP series) is advantageous

At least one year experience in formwork carpentry, including form building and removal, handling architectural finishes, and working on commercial or precast projects

Strong ability to read and interpret technical plans and drawings accurately

Construction induction ("White Card") mandatory for site work in QLD

Proficient with hand and power carpentry tools, committed to workplace health & safety

Ability to carry formwork, climb scaffolding, and work at heights

Leadership and team management skills

Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques

Strong attention to detail and quality focus
